Tracy NL Mgr of Year

SI.com is reporting that Rockies' manager Jim Tracy has been named the NL Manager of the Year. Tracy is only the second man to win the award after taking over his team in the middle of the season.

The Rockies were dead in the water when Tracy took over, and he lit a fire under his players and led them to a Wild Card berth. He received all but two of the first place votes.

I hope this shows the PIRATE management something........

I know you cant fire the whole team, but letting the manager go time after time is not a strategy....

just look what the last ex-pirate manager was capable of doing with the right players.....

The Pirates do that every year....just in small pieces.

They develop great players with which one could build a franchise around, then they let 'em go and hope Daddy Warbucks Steinbrenner- and the other teams that spend and make $$$- will subsidize their stupidity and bad business deals.
