 Man Drives Car Off 100-Foot Ravine RANCHO PEÑASQUITOS, Calif. -- A man escaped without harm after he drove his car off an embankment, according to fire officials. It happened Friday near the intersection of Mercy Road and Kika Court before 6 p.m. According to Maurice Luque, spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, a man had just purchased a brand new car when he mistakenly put the car in drive, instead of reverse. \ The car flew over the hill, adjacent to the parking lot the car was in, and rolled at least once, Luque said. The fall was roughly 100 feet.
