There is an issue with that 1st round mock Sully, Denver traded that 22nd pick in the first round to San Fransisco, so I dont really know what Denver used to trade up to the 7th pick with, cause on there it appears as though it used both 1st round picks, which they dont have anymore.

The LMD trade happened weeks before the real life trade, thus the real trade was nullified. That's the way we've done it for 4 years. The LMD trade involved picks that would have been included in the Denver-San Francisco trade.

Nope, we had about 4 weeks of pre-draft activity. Javon Walker was traded to the 49ers in that time and it involved one of the picks used in the SF-Denver trade.

I've had to stick up for my picks before. When that happens, oddly enough, the picks end up looking pretty good in hindsight.

I know there are a lot of Hawk fans who see the DB as the first choice. I decided to go with the assumption that Law would sign. Also, quality pass-rushing DEs are very few this year...whereas decent DBs and Safeties are fairly plentiful.

And, as I mentioned during the draft, I can see the Hawks mortgaging the future a bit to get what they need because they are so close right now. Several players liked the trade and it seemed good to me. Allowed me to address all the secondary concerns in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

That said, i don't expect you to agree with me, just trying to make it more understandable. Go Hawks!

I have been talking with the guys over on the Seahawks site and they are very high on Bing. I must admit I let my heart get the best of me on that pick. i should probably have taken Ko, but its done now.

I have a few more surprises left for the 7th round as well. I think the Hawks would certainly find a kick returner among these guys. And there are a bunch of guys on my free-agents-to-be-signed-right-after-the-draft list too.
