    The Associated Press reports Chicago Cubs 2B Todd Walker (knee) was placed on the 15-day DL Monday, April 11, due to a moderate to severe sprain of the MCL in his left knee.

    Updating previous reports, the Associated Press reports Chicago Cubs SP Mark Prior (elbow) will either pitch in a minor league game or for the Cubs against the San Diego Padres Tuesday, April 12. The team is expected to make an official decision regarding Prior's near future Monday, April 11.

    According to The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Cubs P pitching prospect Angel Guzman (forearm), who has been through elbow and shoulder problems, is now on the Triple-A Iowa disabled list with forearm stiffness. "He'll be all right. I hear it's more muscular than structural," Cubs MAN Dusty Baker said.

    The Chicago Tribune's Dave Van Dyck reports Chicago Cubs SP Mark Prior (elbow) threw from the Wrigley Field mound Sunday, April 10 and was pronounced physically fit, although he would not comment afterwards on how things went. The Cubs are delaying any official announcement until they see how he recovers from the 30-pitch exercise. "He did very good and felt good," pitching coach Larry Rothschild said. "Everything indicates he is ready to go."

    The Chicago Tribune's Dave Van Dyck reports Chicago Cubs 2B Todd Walker (knee) was hospitalized with what could be serious ligament damage in his left knee after a 10th-ininng collision at second base Sunday, April 10 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Test results showing the extent of the injury to Walker are expected before the April 11 game against San Diego, but he is not expected in the lineup for some time.

    Todd Walker has a sprained knee. Prior will start against SD tomorrow.
