DETROIT -- The Detroit Lions have added another player to the defensive line rotation.
Detroit has signed defensive tackle Jordan Hill, the team announced Monday.
Hill, 26, is in his fifth season after logging his first three with the Seattle Seahawks and last year with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He's played 31 games with one start over the course of four years, logging seven sacks, with 5.5 of those sacks coming in one season with Seattle in 2014.
Hill had his moments in 2014, helping lead the Seahawks to the Super Bowl, but hasn't recorded a sack in 14 games since. Seattle cut him early last season before Jacksonville signed him on to play a minor role for four games late in the year.
In Detroit, he'll compete in training camp to earn a backup role behind Haloti Ngata and A'Shawn Robinson, where he'd join a rotation with Kerry Hyder, Khyri Thornton and newcomers Akeem Spence and Cornelius Washington.
