Suicide In Courtroom After 'Guilty' Verdict

“We the jury,” the foreman told the court, “duly impaneled and sworn in the above entitled action upon our oath, do find the defendant Michael James Marin guilty of arson of an occupied structure.”

With that, Marin dropped his head in his cupped hands and appeared to place something in his mouth. About 5 minutes later, he appeared to put something in his mouth again, and then he drank from the bottle.

After he collapsed into convulsions and fell into unconsciousness, paramedics were called and they took him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Surprised this wasn't posted here yet. Pretty crazy. Wonder what he could have took that would kill him that fast.

TARRANT COUNTY — A suspect in the hit-and-run death of a Tarrant County jogger last week is dead.

Tarrant County Sheriff's Office spokesman Terry Grisham confirmed that Terry Knight, 45, was found dead at his home in Duncanville on Wednesday.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner's office said Knight's death is being investigated as a suicide pending a final ruling.

Earlier, deputies had identified a 2007 blue pickup truck owned by Knight as being involved in the June 21 hit-and-run death of Walter Hopkins, who had been jogging on the side of Willow Springs Road in Haslet when he was struck from behind.
Knight had taken the truck to a repair shop in Fort Worth on the same day as the fatal accident. Employees notified detectives after suspecting that the damage resulted from the truck hitting a person.
On Friday, investigators told News 8 that the truck's owner was not being cooperative.

No charges had been filed against Knight, whose identity was not published by WFAA prior to his death.
