According to a report on Dallas radio station 1310 The Ticket, a group of TCU alumni created a fund to purchase eight electronic billboards near Ohio State's campus in Columbus, Ohio to celebrate the Horned Frogs' Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin, as well as needle the Buckeyes.
The billboards are purple with white script and read, "Congratulations to TCU for their BCS Rose Bowl Victory - Little Sisters of the Poor."
The signature line is a reference to OSU president E. Gordon Gee, who memorably proclaimed on November 24th that the Horned Frogs don't deserve to be in the national title hunt because they played "the Little Sisters of the Poor," unlike the Buckeyes who played what Gee termed "a murderer's row" of teams in the Big Ten.
It doesn't take long to find the irony in that statement; while TCU defeated Wisconsin 21-19, the Badgers knocked off the Buckeyes 31-18 earlier this season.
It remains to be seen whether this was a final parting shot by the Horned Frogs, or the start of something larger. When told of Gee's original remarks on TCU's schedule, TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte issued a challenge to Ohio State to take on TCU "any time, any place, anywhere."
Perhaps this could the impetus to make that dream matchup happen.
