non tox loads

What is the best non tox load that comes in a box of 25? I am going to try to hunt some pheasant this year on public ground that has a watershed on it thus needing the non tox shot.

Currently I thnk I am going to go for "Heavy Steel" but have also considered "Blackcloud".

Bismaxx, Heavy Shot, and alike I am sure are great but I don't feel like spending $2.86 with every trigger pull.

I used to reload steel shell casings with lead shot. That worked like a charm.

Yes, but it's better for hunting. It doesn't look like lead when it's loaded inside of a case that says it's steel shot.

I was referring to over 20 years ago. But let's get real.....lead doesn't exist in nature?

For waterfowl hunting and hunting in wildlife management areas, you have to use steel. I am amazed the government haven't forced companies to go to nonlead shot and bullets for sportsman. Also they still sell lead sinkers and jigs.

Lead is cheap where the others double + the price.

Went with the Blackcloud #3 shot 3" = deadbirds

Figured I would try the #4 shot = wounded birds that wanted to run on us.
