Some of you may have heard about the 5 firefighters that died fighting a fire in Southern California. I doubt many of you know me because I normally post on the Packer's board, but I am here to ask for help.
I worked with all those guys from Engine 57, the Captain, Mark Loutzenhiser was a HUGE Pittsburg Steelers fan and a friend of mine for almost 20 years. My buddy, his friend for even longer, has petitioned the Steelers front office for a show of support for Mark's family. He is survived by his wife and 5 children. We know it is difficult to get such a large organization to help out in such a time of need, but we figure if you folks chime in, maybe the organization will pony up with some support.
Obviously the family can use financial support, but some gesture such as a signed jersey or football for his 19 year old son, and his twin 5 year old boys would mean a lot... emotionally.
Maybe you folks could voice this somehow to the organization and get them to realize how much this would mean.
