Just an idea...
When Duke beats each of the other acc teams all of you who are fans of them have to put duke rules in your sig. Maybe we could have someone make some sort of banner or trophy that you would have to put in your sig for a week.
or something along these lines, what do you think?

Well since FSU usually blows, i always root for UNC, so if we beat your ass this year, like i know we will, you have to put UNC rules, and if the impossible happens, ill put duke rules.
Its a deal to me Capt.

Not having to worry about the second half of a football game in about a decade would give me a lot of extra time...maybe being a Duke fan does have its advantages

Yes...you would have to use the current picture in my sig. I wouldn't force anybody to put the monstrocity I had there before in their sig :D

Wouldn't a bandwagon fan not be following a team that's last 3 years have been their worst in decades?
Does that not make sense?
If you want bandwagon fans....well........you know what's coming.

Dook fans,
Serious question. Why all the confidence in what is supposed to be a "down year" for you guys? Now, I don't mean an unranked team kind of down year or anything, but not as elite as the past 5 years or so.
Don't flame me...I've said from the start you don't count Dook out in the ACC until someone takes it from them, but everything I've read says this team isn't as good as previous years and judging by the roster, that seems to be true.
AGAIN, not horrible by any stretch, but really not a national championship favorite. Am I way off? Why?

when i say bandwagon, im talking bout people you dont even live in nc and have no ties to unc
ill be the first to admit its going to be a tough year for duke, you always have to have confindence in your team, you have to have faith, they will be in every game they play though, and honestly they arent as good as recent years, but they still have JJ, ewing, and williams. Shav is supposed to finally be healthy this year, http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?columnist=katz_andy&id=1904361 , demarcus nelson is going to breakout, only questions are depth and leadership, and we saw they can win without much depth last year

Who cares if you have ties to UNC or live in NC? I've been rooting for Carolina since I was 7, and never stopped since, even when times were tough. Why would I be "bandwagon" because I don't live in NC?
I live in Maryland...I don't root for one team in Maryland. That doesn't make me any less of a fan.

And seriously....are you going to jump on fans for not being in-state? There are more people from New Jersey at Dook then NC! Well, not really...but a really high ratio. There's a gigantic NE element at Dook, much moreso then State or Carolina or anything. That's public knowledge.
Again, I don't really care. It doesn't matter to me. But it seems silly coming from a Dook fan.

I still really don't understand what those rules have to do with anything? How could you determine what fan base does or does not apply to them without knowing them? Or, better yet, why would we care? As long as they're aboard in good times and in bad (and anyone with Carolina right now has survived the latter), it's all good, IMO.

Yeah, there are no Duke bandwagoners in the world. Everyone roots for Duke because of there strong ties there, not because of the fact that they win so much. Although I'll admit, there are A LOT of UNC fans, but most of them are because of Jordan.

Ah...I see.
To be honest, I end up talking with tons of Carolina fans during the year and I can honestly say that I can count the number of times Jordan comes up in any sort of significant way on one hand. I really didn't realize this sentiment was even out there.

All about Mike? This long after he played (and no, the Wizard debacle doesn't count)? Really?
Is everyone out in Oregon enjoying Bill Clinton's second term as well?

Heh Heh. A lot of them started to like NC after Mike got big, and just kept riding. When asked why they are fans, they talk about him. I dunno, I always did figure Oregon was a lil behind the times...

Hmm, that's interesting. I started with Carolina when I was 7...by then Jordan was in his 2nd or 3rd year with the Bulls...I didn't even realize he went to Carolina until I was like 13. Though I do admit I own a Jordan Carolina throwback jersey. I wear it when I need to channel a little positive UNC tradition mojo.

Hey, whatever you need to get the mojo working. During packers games, I wear my personilized jersey, and occosionly a cheeshead. It looks very odd indoors, in the suburbs, on a couch. But it works.
