The Bruins, who claimed Anderson off waivers from Chicago on Jan. 19, placed the netminder on waivers Monday. Had he not been claimed by the Blues by Tuesday's noon EST deadline, Anderson would have been demoted to Providence of the AHL.

hmmm...I guess the Blues aren't too sure on some of the young goaltending. I really don't know anything about Anderson or anything, but the Blues have so many yuong goalies we've seen this year that I wonder what the point of claiming him is unless he's better than the others.

Weird signing if you ask me. Sanford is good, Beckford-Tseu is tearing it up in the minors, Bacashishua is young and talented as well. I guess it goes more along the lines of having a more solid backup now in the pros, although why not use Sanford all the time anyways?

Very true and he's okay so why not huh. It did catch me off guard but whatever they wanna do. He's not much of anything at this stage of his career, but might end up solid...who knows

it seems like they are trying to get as many prospects they can without giving anything up... which is the best thing to do when starting a rebuild
