I just get a blank screen on that page. What is it? Is it a reliable source? Any other links?

The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired Doug Weight from the St. Louis Blues but it is just one part of a much larger trade involving other players and draft picks that won't be made official until after the Hurricanes and Blues complete the official trade conference call with the NHL.

The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired Doug Weight and 27-year-old Finnish forward Erkki Rajamaki from the St. Louis Blues.
In exchange, Carolina gave to the Blues three draft picks and three players. The package includes:
- Carolina's first-round pick in 2006.
- Toronto's fourth-round pick in 2006, previously acquired by the Hurricanes.
- Chicago's fourth-round pick in 2007, previously acquired by the Hurricanes.
- Tough guy forward Jesse Boulerice, a 27-year-old eighth-year pro
- Forward Mike Zigomanis, a 25-year-old fifth-year pro
- Magnus Kahnberg, 25, an unsigned Carolina draftee from Sweden who will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1

yeah... i dont think they did too bad... i dont know that much about Jesse Zigomanis or Kahnberg...
but i think that they could have done better if they waited for the deadline...

Good deal for the Canes. The blues got 3 borderline NHL'ers and a 1st round pick which is expected to be around 25 or so. Plus the 4th rounders in a weakish draft. But they dumped payroll and got something to work with if they hit home runs with the picks

Kind of funny that we were just talking about getting rid of Weight this morning.
Seems like a great trade for the Canes though. Didn't give much up at all.

Catch a cannon ball now, t’take me down the line
My bag is sinkin’ low and I do believe it’s time.
To get back to miss fanny, you know she’s the only one.
Who sent me here with her regards for everyone.
Yes! I hate Doug Weight and am glad to see his ass gone. Now, trade Weinrich, Drake and some of the other schmoes.
Larry Pleau was interviewed by Rene Knott tonight and he said that, although he doesn't want to say that trading Weight and Sillinger mean they're giving up on this season, he realizes it'll be hard to make the playoffs in their current position.
I hope Pleau is the first one fired when we find an owner.
