I watched the Pistons game last night and was pretty impressed with Carlos. He reminds me alot of Jon Barry (besides wearing his #20) only younger and stronger. He is always looking for weird ways to get the ball to guys. I would like to see him play with some starters. He needs to work on his defense I saw him standing around a couple of times looking the steal the ball while his guy was running whereever.

That said I bet he never shoots 8 3s in a game again. LB is going to tear him up one side and down the other for some of those shots early in the clock. I agree that I'd love to see him play with the first team, where there would be less responsibilty on him to make offense and better help D.

Darko played against Kandiman for most of the game who I believe will be the starter for MIn. He did as good as I've seen him and looked like he had a clue what the team was doing which is good becuase he was playing with guys like Carlos and invites like smoosh.

Carlos looked like the kind of guy who will fit right in here. He just did things brown doesnt like such as shooting too soon and not getting back on D. That said he had several steals and was incredibly quick and strong. Had another nice dunk, passed like a pg, and was active in all his minutes.

Smush Parker will play again in the NBA. Kinda reminds me of a Jamal Crawford in the way he goes to the hoop. Played really scrappy and made some clutch jumpers. Quesion is do we have room for him as our 3rd pg.

McDyess was a MONSTER. He started and guarded KG. Looked strong, grabbed every loose ball, was tough underneath, and even had some great passes. If he stays injury free, he should be a starter in this league, and I fee confident saying that after watching only 2 preseason games. He already is good to go and has an entire camp left to get in shape.

Coleman shot well but didn't hustle at all. I'll chalk it up to preseason, but you could tell he had played in a similiar offense in Philly as he always knew where to look with a quick pass.

Dupree, Amal, and Jenkins did nothing to impress.

P.S.- Rip is shooting over 50% on 3s. This should scare the shit out of other NBA coaches cause all he needs to do is use that as bait to get opponenets in the air and thats as good as a free hoop for him.

I don't think they are on TV until Friday-UPN. I'm going to each of the next two games: Wed, at VanAndle and Friday at the Palace so I'll have updates.

I agree. Maybe Brent instead of Jon, but more bulky. The threes are definitely going to go down. I saw him through alot of passes that the other guys weren't expecting and they either bobbled them or missed them. In that way he reminds me of Jon. You always had to be ready for the unexpected with him. Either way he looks very promising. Could the Pistons have the comeback player of the year (McDyess) and the Rookie of the year (Delfino)? That would be pretty cool.

wednesdays game at van andel is on WB20.

maybe comeback player (Dice) and defensive player (Ben, obviously) but I don't think that delfino will have a chance at rookie of the year for one simple reason: he won't start. Rookie of the year always goes to some starter on a bad-mediocore team.

They have "most improved" which usually goes to a sophmore who was on the bench his rookie year.

yeah, i was wondering bout that, but i'm tired so i went with it. theoretically McDyess could win the award since he played, and horribly, last year

More awake now, more likely than McDyess getting the most improved player award would be his gettnig the sixth man of the year award, that is is we don't have a major injury that requires he to start a large number of games.

I hope he plays like a monster. But saying he has an entire camp left to get in shape kind of worries me. I try not to, but I think of it as a whole camp to hurt his knees again. Man, I hope I'm worrying for nothing.

Dice'll be fine, he has Arnie Kander looking after him now. There is a reason we don't suffer a lot of really serious injuries, our strength and conditioning staff is the best. Hey, maybe they could help the lions
