That'd be horrible. The guy had just become an elite QB in the league.

The way the article sounded (and that's the second one I've read on it), it sounds like Palmer will recover and still be able to play. Luckily for him, his name isn't Mike Vick, and running isnt an important part of his game.
They said that most everything that was there was able to be salvaged. The doctor made it seem like this injury is capable of doing that, but Palmer's wasn't beyond repair like it tends to be.
Still, it sucks to hear.

I hope he recovers. He was emerging into one of the top 3 qbs (behind manning and brady) in the league. If this ends his career, that'd be horrible.
Best Wishes Carson.

I'd have to group McNabb in with the top QBs (not being a homer, his numbers have been better than Brady's...he just doesnt have the rings). Before this year, I'd say Culpepper...but it looked like he might have benefited from Moss more than we thought.
After everything seemed to be coming together for the Bengals, Palmer's injury and Chad taking a swing at Marvin would give me that "here we go again" sick feeling in my stomach if I were a Bengals fan. Of course, I'm a Lions fan, so I have that sick feeling all the time.

Hey, I'm a Lions fan first and foremost, but I like Palmer, and kind of relate to the Bengals due to the Lions having shared the doormat title with them in recent years. That is one tough break. I hope Carson comes back strong.
