After spending parts of the last two seasons backing up Kari Lehtonen in Chicago in the AHL, Michael Garnett will get his 17th consecutive start tonight when the Thrashers face the Flyers (http://www.nhl.com/scores/previews/541_2_preview.html) at Philips Arena (7 p.m., TV: Turner South). With back-to-back shutouts under his belt, Garnett will have a chance for three as the Thrashers try to extend their franchise record point streak to nine games.

If you nitwits win this game, I'll sport a Thrashers avatar of your choice for a period of no more than 3 days.

If the Flyers win this game, Manny has to neg rep every Atlanta fan on these boards.

You do if I do. That's just how it works.

BTW, the wife got me tickets to the Jan. 21 game vs. the Tampa Bay 'Ning for our anniversary yesterday.

We've never been to a hockey game before which is a shame considering my dad had season tickets for the first 2 years. I finally have an opportunity to wear my Thrashers sweater.....other than sitting at home supporting the team.

3-3...pretty intense game.

What a hit by Richards earlier...hit of the year, no questions asked.

Whooo-hooo!!! Sammmmi!

Hard fought game though...Atlanta definately deserved a point for that one. But Nittimaki himself was deserving enough for us to get the 2 points.

Excellent game

Sami Kapanen scored just 13 seconds into the extra period as the Flyers beat the Thrashers 4-3 (http://www.nhl.com/scores/recaps/541_2_recap.html) before a sellout crowd at Philips Arena Wednesday night. Michael Garnett's shutout streak ended three minutes into the first period, but the Thrashers rebounded to go into the third period tied 3-3. The last period was scoreless, sending the game to overtime, before the Flyers capitalized early much like Atlanta did to them earlier this season in Philadelphia. Andy Sutton and Eric Boulton each scored their second goals of the season for the Thrashers after Nicolas Havelid opened the Thrashers' scoring. With the point, the Thrashers extended their franchise-record point streak to nine games.

If Manny doesn't neg rep every Atlanta fan by noon today, I'm going to.

Rules is rules. Pay up, sucka.

Fun game last night, by the way. Should have never gone to OT, but the Flyers were playing with a little TOO much anger and emotion, if you ask me, and it got in the way of their ability to play solid hockey.

The bet wasn't Thrasher fans, it was Atlanta fans.

Atlanta fans on a Thrasher board though, as a matter of context it was worded in a way that it was up for interpretation.

I always thought this was the Thrashers Forum, whereas the board is every forum as a whole. Oh well. It was a bet that was going to be felched any how.

there is also the matter of my response to the bet....I laughed at it. And I don't even have available rep to give.

I use board myself. I was just trying to straighten out the language of the bet.
