LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - For the second time this season, NHL legend Wayne Gretzky brings his Phoenix Coyotes (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/clubhouse?team=pho) into Southern California on Saturday to face the Los Angeles Kings (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/clubhouse?team=los).
Gretzky became the league's all-time leading scorer as a member of the Kings. He is in his first season as the Coyotes' coach and saw his team drop a 3-2 contest here on October 6.
However, Phoenix got a measure of revenge with a 4-0 home rout of Los Angeles on November 3.
The Coyotes have lost two straight games, including a 3-1 home setback to defending champion Tampa Bay on Thursday. Geoff Sanderson score the only goal for Phoenix, which saw center Dave Scatchard leave the game in the third period with an apparent knee injury. His availability for Saturday's game in uncertain.
Los Angeles had lost of its previous six of eight games before Friday's 4-3 shootout win at Anaheim.
Rookie Petr Kanko, who was recalled from Manchester of the AHL earlier in the day, scored his first career goal to tie it in the third period before Pavol Demitra (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?statsId=692) and Alexander Frolov (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?statsId=2578) scored in the shootout for Los Angeles, which received 42 saves from goaltender Mathieu Garon (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?statsId=1968).

I read that, too. He's going to be with his mother who is battling cancer.
Luc is a healthy scratch for the 2nd game in a row.

Hey Vegas, you see the score of the Leafs-Sens game? 8-2 for Ottawa. Leafs fans are mighty pissed, this is such a good day.

Hehe, I was just reading some of the comments left on TSN, people calling out Domi for faking an injury or something?
I dont care I hate Domi anyway I think its funny. But I really do hate Toronto, if Detroit doesn't win the Cup this year it's got to be Ottawa.

Yes sir.
Toronto is the last team I want to see win the Stanley Cup. Since I'm Canadian, I have to go for a Canadian team and I huge fanboy of Spezza.

You'd rather have Montreal win than Toronto?

Yup.
The thing with growing up in Windsor, you either like Detroit or Toronto and then there are some Habs fans mixed in. Big time rivalry down here.

I've been a Kings fan for 20 years and they would be my first choice. Toronto and Ottawa would be my 2nd choices. Toronto deserves (in my opinion) another cup after so many years since it's such a good hockey city. I like Ottawa because they're such a good team that's fun to watch.

Toronto is a great hockey city, but I hate most of their fans. They think their team is the center of the universe and that they should be in on all trades/free agent signings and nothing is good enough for them.
They could have drafted Crosby and Ovechkin and the fans would still bitch.

Is Labarbera starting? I think I have him playing in one of my leagues tonight.

I've known and run into a lot of Toronto fans in LA and LV. I like them, mostly because they know hockey. The typical Kings fans are enough to piss off the pope. I was at Gretzky's first game as a King. There were oodles of "new" fans that started yelling at Gretzky to start a fight when they got bored at a 0-0 score 5 minutes into the game. It hasn't gotten much better over the years.

I got over laughing at those kinds of people a long, long time ago. I prefer watching with people who know hockey.
Kings score again and lead 4-1. No shootout tonight.

There's a lot of big scores tonight. Nashville won big, Detroit, Ottawa, Philly, probably LA.
