Checketts back in contention for the Blues.

The Post-Dispatch's Andy Strickland and Bernie Mikalasz are both reporting that David Checketts along with the Sansone Group and the Shanahans might be buying the Blues and the sale could be completed as soon as Monday.

Thank God! I can't wait to rid of the current owners. Hopefully the new owner will be smart enough to make his first firing that of Pleau.

Hopefully, the new owners will do more than just fire Pleau. I hope they clean house at all levels, including on the ice!

If this happens, I heard that Mark Sauer will be gone. Checketts seems to be planning on bringing in John Davidson as team president.
