This could have been warm-and-fuzzy with local-boy-makes-good talking about how cool it is to play the Seahawks, a team he cheered for in his youth.

Instead, Dillon said: "I grew up watching a lot of people's teams. They were one of the teams I watched. I watched the Seahawks with Jim Zorn and Steve Largent. I liked watching 'em."

I thought he was starting to loosen up, but no. Asked about the Huskies' 1-4 start, he said: "There's nothing I can do personally to help U Dub, so why worry about it? It's not nice to see 'em go through that situation, but, hey, I'm not running the ball up there, so there's nothing I can do."

Asked if he was having fun with the Patriots, Dillon said: "I would say so. What's not fun about winning football games?"

Asked about last year's game against the Seahawks, which he missed after getting into a car wreck on the way to the stadium, Dillon said: "Who cares? That's last year. I'm talking about 2004. I'm ready to play ball."

Did some people want the Seahawks to go after him a few years back?

Yeah, I was one. When we had no running game. Would have been a big mistake. I don't think they can run on us.
