Powerplay for Philly with 38 seconds left in the first.

shmuck

Wowsers. Brashear got benched for the rest of the game because of his 3 dumb penalties.

Richards and somebody else wanted to fight, refs should have let them. Still think this game gets ugly.

Powerplay Philly.

I think with Lehtonen in net, you guys would be a lot better off right now. Other than that, the score would look a lot nicer.

How is that not a penalty when Gagne got pulled down. That's horrible.

Lets not forget that refs are not perfect, they miss 1 or 2 or 6 calls a game.

We've seen that a lot this year. I don't mind calling it tight, and Hatcher needs to learn to keep his stick down but Gagne gets tackled and they don't call anything and now it's costs the Flyers the win.

LOL, so umm How is Hatcher doing?

You hate him yet?

Sorry but the Flyers cost them selfs a win, They missed on a penalty shot, and in the last two minutes of the game, The Flyers let in two goals. You just can not blame the refs for costing the Flyers a W, you have to look at your own team and what they should have done better.

I have no problem with Hatcher, he is slow...we knew that...old habits die hard. He needs to get it in his head quick that he can't bring his stick off the ice. But to say this isn't bad officiating is just a sign you aren't watching. Flyers lead 5-4 and the Thrashers are on the PP with under a min and Gagne gets yanked down with an empty net in front of him only to have the Thrashers come down and score the tying goal with seven seconds left. At the very least a penalty should have been called if not a goal on the board.

You are right I watched the last half of the thrid period because thats when I got home from work, Yes Gagne got knocked down, should it have been a penalty? may be. The ref did not call it, get over it and on that rush back down the ice may be someone should have tooken evires stick out of the play.

Pardon me, far be it for me to expect the officials to enforce the rules both ways. Hatcher hooking is only a penalty in the new NHL, and I agree that it should be called but comparing what happen to Gagne and what Hatcher did and it's hard to believe which one got called.

May be Hatcher should learn how to skate, then he would not get hooking penaltys.

The refs do call them both ways, just watch other games, and you will see what I am talkign about.

Great game, especially since the "good guys" got the W.

Flyers have some speed on their team. I was amazed watching them fly around late in the 3rd and OT.

They'll be okay. Just glad Atlanta put another thorn in Philly's side.

I'm not talking about other games, I'm talking about tonight. That was crap, and if you watched it...you know it. I love the NHL but if they are going to call it tight, call it tight both ways.

Regardless the Flyers should have wrapped that game up on their own, but the officials cannot be that bad.

Please tell me that I am wrong.

It probably was not as bad as you are saying it to be becasue you are a big fan of the team that got "screwed"

I'll believe it when some other Hockey fan tells me how bad it was.

Apparently, Ilya got screwed on the 4 minute high sticking penalty. But, they won so I guess it doesn't matter now.

It evens out. Thrashers still have a long way to go before they reach the level of other NHL teams. I think this stings because it's Atlanta.

I'll believe it when some other Hockey fan tells me how bad it was.No where am I claiming the NHL is out to get the Flyers. I'm giving my opinion about what happen in the game tonight. I think a call should have been made...in my opinion it was one of the more obvious calls to be made during the night and it wasn't. It sucks that it wasn't made but I don't think they did it on purpose...not by any means, they just need to be better.

I won't buy into the "NHL is out to get the Flyers" but I am willing to buy into the "NHL wants close games, and lots of OT and shootouts"

It was a GREAT no call.

I saw it...

Hatcher will be a liability all year. Then hell get hurt.

I think it was a blown goal, should have been just a high stick call, the shoulder pad made the cut.
