Rangers asked for Greinke

The Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant reports the Texas Rangers talked with the Kansas City Royals about trading OF Kevin Mench. The Rangers wanted SP Zack Greinke, but the Royals aren't willing to trade him. They are willing to part with P Jeremy Affeldt.

Every team wants somebody. It doesn't mean they are going to get them. Unless, the MLB creates an overide trade thing. But the chances are very, very, slim.
