Los Angeles (4-2-0) at Colorado (2-2-1), 9:00 pm EDT
DENVER (Ticker) -- After a successful homestand, the Los Angeles Kings embark on a two-game road trip Wednesday when they visit the struggling Colorado Avalanche (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/clubhouse?team=col).
The Kings won four out of five games following a disappointing season-opening loss at Dallas. On Sunday, Michael Cammalleri (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?statsId=2991) collected a goal and an assist to help Los Angeles post a 3-1 triumph over Columbus.
Goaltender Joseph Labarbera continued his impressive start as he stopped 19 shots against the Blue Jackets to improve to 3-0-0 on the young season.
Avalanche top netminder David Aebischer (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?statsId=2054) has not enjoyed the same success as his possible counterpart. The Swiss goalie is just 1-2-0 with a 4.05 goals-against average.
Colorado has lost two in a row and three of its last five games and has been idle since Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to Chicago. John-Michael Liles (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/profile?statsId=3417) had a goal and an assist for the Avalanche.
Los Angeles and Colorado split their four meetings in 2003-04, each winning once to go along with a pair of ties.
