Thrashers Place Forward J. P. Vigier on Injured Reserve

Atlanta, GA (Oct. 19, 2005) -- The Atlanta Thrashers have placed forward J. P. Vigier on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Oct. 16, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell.

Vigier, who suffered a broken bone in his foot on Oct. 14 against Toronto, has played in all six games for the Thrashers this season, including the game after his injury on Oct. 15 at the New York Rangers.

He was playing awesome in the games without Ilya. Didn't really produce the points, but he was a presence on the ice. The injury bug is bad news so far.
