Kings have a lot of speed this year. With the new rules, this is a good thing.

Good win against a quality team. Minnesota plays a tight checking game.

sadly..the better team lost in that game... especially focusing on the overtime period... the Wild played a much better game... they got an unlucky bounce through traffic and bam... 2-1...
at least it made it to overtime so the wild recieve a point
...i was looking forward to a shootout too

You may well be right about the Wild being the better team. They look good to me. They do a great job at the blue line, especially on the penalty kill. They'll win a lot of games this year.

I think what the wild have on just about everyone in the NHL is experience as a unit... Most of the Teams are a patchwork of new FA's, and they are gonna take time to gel and gain the chemistry that a team needs to go deep into the playoffs... some teams will never get that chemistry and a lot of talent will be wasted...While everyone else was signing, the Wild stayed conservative, grabbed some depth at defense... and basically kept to the plan of building through the draft. When Gaborik comes back, i expect the Wild to score a lot more points becuase he is one of those players whose game will benifit the most from the new rule changes

Its definately an exciting start to the season. The flow of the game is far more enjoyable to watch.
I know that the flow is alittle disrupted by the amount of penalties but I figure by about the 15th game the teams will adjust to all the changes and we'll see more offensive and defensive game plans that will truly start to shape the game.
Its good stuff!!
Go Kings!!

I will be happy if they are still calling the game the same way after 15 games. Every other year they come up with the "we're going to call the obstruction penalties" routine, they go back to the old ways.
