Crap, how did Lehtonen get hurt?
Offseason. He never fully recovered in time for the last preason game and last night. You could tell something wasnt right with him the first time he had to move laterally. He was just so slow and unresponsive when he's usually pretty quick across the crease.

Dunham also has a groin that isnt fully healed too. It's not looking good between the pipes.

he has now tweaked both sides of the groin, Wednesday night was the other side of the groin from what have been previously injured.

Thrashers Place Goaltender Kari Lehtonen on Injured Reserve and Reassign Center Jim Slater to the Chicago Wolves

ATLANTA (Oct. 6, 2005) -- The Atlanta Thrashers have placed goaltender Kari Lehtonen on the Injured Reserve and reassigned center Jim Slater to Chicago of the American Hockey League, according to Executive Vice President and General Manager Don Waddell.

Lehtonen, who started in the team’s season-opener at Florida on Oct. 5, was sidelined after the first period of the game with an injured groin.

Slater, who made his NHL debut in the opener at Florida, appeared in seven preseason games, recording five points (three goals, two assists).
