Doug Vaughn announced tonight on the local news that a NY Businessman whose name I don't remember (but he was one of the founders of MSG Network) has made an offer to buy the Blues and Savvis Center.

It sounds like there is a 4th bidder now. The other's that I know of are:
-Tony Novelli, the owner of Apex Oil.
-The Sansone Group/Mike Shanahan Sr. and Jr.
-National City Bank.

Judging by what I've been reading this is more than a bid. It is sounding like a sale.
The man's name is David Checketts. Here is a partial resume.
-One of the founders of MSG Network in NYC.
-Director of Jet Blue Airlines (2000-)
-President and CEO of Madison Square Garden (1994-2001)
-President of the New York Knicks (1991-1994)
-President of the Utah Jazz (1984-1990)
-Vice President of Player Development for the NBA (1990-1991)
-Owner of the Salt Lake City MSL Franchise.

Sounds like a done deal now. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=138072This looks like a pretty good guy to have running things he' had a lot of success at many different ventures.
I don't care who owns the Blues so long as they don't move the team.
