Personally, I look at things a little more in depth. I see that we almost doubled the Ravens stats across the board and won by a field goal. Very similar to the last game and similar to the fact that we have been in the lead of every game we've been in a one point or another. We still are making the stupid mistakes and the stupid penalties and I cant see us being very successful against the teams we have to play this year if we continue playing this way. On the bright side, I do think we did well offensively against a very good Ravens defense and Priest has really been doing well this year. He said his goal was 2000 yards and I laughed. I guess it's remotely possible at this rate. Of course, his role as a pass catcher has almost disappeared. I also think that Johnnie Morton had the best game he has had as a Chief. I dont see that continuing but if it does it will be very important. He not only made catches, he made difficult ones. I was impressed. I also think this Horn fellow should become a regular part of our game plan. He can catch the ball and he can get open. That's something our WRs have not been able to do to this point.

I couldn't agree more imann. Sure we won, but if you look at it, we didn't win very well. By the way the stats look, that game should have been a blowout.

While I was proud of Trent Green for finally playing a decent game, (he still made some stupid mistakes. He just hasn't played well at all this year) and for the offense for playing pretty well, I was most proud of the defense. I thought they really hung in there and played a great game. With the way the offense was controlling the ball, it appeared the defense REALLY benefited from their rest on the sidelines.

I think this is the Chiefs key to victory. The defense isn't that good, but if they get as much rest as they did monday night every other game, we could have a top 10 defense. Heck, almost any defense with that amount of rest could have a great game. And sure, the Raven's offense is nothing spectacular, the defense really played ALOT better than everyone expected.

But those mistakes are still killing us, and unfortunetly, they cost us two touchdowns monday. If the chiefs get back to playing mistake free football, with an offense that controls the ball, and a well rested mediocre defense, i could see this team going on a tear for a long stretch after the bye week.

But as always, it's going to take some work ...
