Well, I'm officially a Red Sox fan from here on out, lets go Curt.
Anaheim looks like a tough matchup, I love the playoffs though, cannot wait till Tuesday.

Aight I want LA vs. Houston and Boston vs. Minnesota
Then I could care less...I'd like to see Boston because of all the hell that team has been through...but I could live with any of the teams...I'd like to see Bagwell and Biggio finally get one, nearing the end of their careers...and I like Minnesota's small-market, big-talent team.

Actually I'll go with St Louis and Boston, like to see Rolen and Schilling in the World Series. Have to with the former Phils who played their hearts out for us.

Yeah, but I still don't like Rolen that much. I respect the guy because he does play hard and has made himself into a hell of a ball player (I really wasn't sold on his hitting in Philly). But I never liked his off-field attitude.
Not to mention I can't stand Tony LaRussa. That guy is a total ass-hole. I just can't stand him.

Cannot argue with that, I don't like LaRussa what so ever. Like I said I'll root for the Red Sox as a team, and then certain players on the NL side, Biggio, Bagwell, Rolen.
sup philly. just curious what your feelings about eric milton are. i'm a twins fan and interested in your thoughts. i believe is contract is up, correct? he put up a nice record, but not such a stellar e.r.a. is your front office trying to resign him? silva worked out pretty nicely for us and i was just wondering what the future for milton is with the phillies. peace, best of luck next season.

Milton is a great guy, we loved having him here, it worked out well for both of us, but he does not fit well with our new park. I wish we could keep him but it wouldn't be a good sign. If we do sign him, I think it can't be for anything over 5 Mil a year which I'm not sure he would accept but I do not think we should sign him, he won't be as successful in this park.
His stuff just isn't that great on a consistent basis. I wish him well, but I wish it with some other team.

The only way Milton is back in a Phillies Uniform next season is if he takes a big paycut, he lead the league in Home Runs Allowed, and his 4.75 ERA was horrible, his fastball is just not good enough to throw by anyone anymore.

aight thanks guy. i think it worked out for both teams. silva was a solid #3 for us and fit our budget. you guys can take on more payroll...and even tho i think milton was overpaid...he's still a good pitcher. good luck with your prospects, floyd and howard should be great. and even if you trade howard because of thome, you should get some definate quality in return. i've always liked the phillies. i had thome, madson, and burrell(until he got hurt) on my fantasy team and they served me well. won 2 out of 3 leagues. i would say good luck to the eagles too...but this is the phillies boards....and i'm a vikings fan. :)

Nice, haven't been able to watch him start a game not once this year, never even thought about it actually. Will enjoy watching it this friday I believe in Minny...Santana going to pictch Game four if neccessary?
it hasn't been announced yet. it the twins are down 2-1, santana would most certainly start game 4, and radke game 5. if we're up 2-1...i don't know...we might try to win it with santana, or maybe give lohse ( :( ) a start and let santana go for game 5.

Sorry fellas but I want Milton back. He'll probably accept for 6 mill per year and I take him for that. Give the guy some respect for actually showing up to the park and playing his ass off. He put so much pressure on himself once he went form our #4 to our ace. He'll be much better next season and I really dont want it to happen in pinstripes. Give the guy his do and offer him a contract. If he doesnt take it, fine, let him walk but give him a crack.

I wouldn't be entirely upset if he was brought back but I do not think that it would be a smart decision for our team in making us a contender. We would be better of with Cory Lidle then Milton due to the Park. I love the effor the guy gave but given up the most HRs in the league just isn't going to get it done for us.

Man Phila....I do agree with you. I really do. He probably isnt right for us. I just hate watching guys get sent packing like that...if he does. From what he gave to the team this year, he just doesnt deserve it. Lidle is the perfect fit for us, especially for the price and there is only going to be so many spots available.

I'm definitely rooting for the Twins in the AL, though I suppose the Sox winning would be ok just cause. In the NL, I'd actualy like to see Houston get there since we were their springboard. I'd also like to see Biggio and Bagwell get some glory.

Could you imagine the defense in CF if the Twins were to face the Cards in the World Series? I will be happy as long as the Yankees lose, and even happier if the Braves chole again, but to see the defense of those 2 CF's together would be something else.

You missed the first inning, or maybe the second. Stewart made a leaping catch at the track, posada tagged and went to third. Next play Torii recored a double play throwing posada out at the plate, made a perfect throw. I really enjoy watching these twins play ball.

Kind of maked me wish I got to see them a little bit more. I read about the throw to the plate on Posada, I am used to seeing Hunter's highlight reelplays in the outfield. And now I just saw the replay of the great defensive plays. Jones is a hell of a right fielder too, he gets over shadowed by Hunter I think, but he can play too.

Tough luck for Moose, he was the first losing pitcher to pitch well all day. Radke goes tommorrow, the Twins could go home with a 2-0 lead.
I like the odds of them going to Minne 2-0. The Yankees just are lacking when it comes to pitching, I can't figure out how a team that spends that much can be lacking in any area, but here we are.

Not sure of specifics but his dad passed away and he had to take the red eye late last night just to get to the game tonight, got to NYC early in the morning.
Comes up big and hits a HR, gotta love a story line like that.
Torri's D tonight was amazing, I really do love watching the Twins play, expecially when they are beating the Yanks.

The best part about it FOX went from the catch to a close up of ARods face...priceless...Gotta love Torii...overall the best game of the postseason so far. Santana threw a 7 shutout with his average stuff.
Arod had a bad game, defensively looked not like himself. The twins have a good opprotunity to go home up 2-0 with Radke v. Lieber tommorrow.

He has been good at home lately, but the Twins need to jump on him early and often otherwise this is going to be 1-1 and Carlos Silva will be starting Game 3.

If there's one thing I LOATHE in professional sports, it's success for underserving fans. These people have no idea what we go through. A championship to them is like eating a really good meal to us. It's good, but you stop thinking about it in like two hours.
