How about that. We actually won a game. The only problem I see in the game tonight was the special teams. Our coverage units suck, and that's going to allow teams with horrible offenses to keep up with our scoring like tonight. However, the defense is playing better week by week, no matter what Donkey fans think, and they showed it tonight. They shut down Jamal Lewis, Ray Lewis, and Kyle Boller. The guy that killed us was that damn punt returner. We should have won by a lot, because the stats weren't close. That stadium too, is a tough place to play. We went in their house and controlled the game. Here's to a good bye week, injury free!

Congrats KC fans. I actually expected Baltimore to take this game but it looks like the KC defense stepped up. Good luck with the rest of the season. They are too talented to be kept down this long.

Thanks. Hopefully we can. It sucks sitting through a winless first month but I guess it's better than having a great season only to crumble down the stretch and get beat at home. I don't care about winning one playoff game. I want to win it all, no matter how we do it. As long as we get into the playoffs, the regular season doesn't matter. I'd rather be playing bad in September than December.

My opinion also. I've seen too many 13-3 records just to go one and out to get too excited about making the playoffs anymore. Unless we go to the superbowl at least then the season is a failure in my mind. Of course, we have to make the playoffs to get to the SB but unless we get there it dont matter. So far, this is the worst year of KC sports I have ever experienced by far. Both the Royals and Chiefs are basically doing the same thing.

From what I saw, KC had a pretty good gameplan. Even more so when you hear Ray Lewis whining about being double-teamed all night. ;)

It's so true that it's not even funny. If I didn't know any better, i'd think the exact same person was the GM and owner of both the Royals and Chiefs.
Both teams flat out REFUSE to spend money on good free agents, both teams have the drafting capabilities of a 2nd grade math teacher, and both teams have it in their mind that they are the best and there is no need to change players or coaches.
This year is DEFINITELY the worst year I can remember to be a KC sports fan. And it certainly won't be the last, with the douche's we have running our teams.

This is the worst year I know of as a KC sports fan. I've been one since 76 for the Royals and 86 for the Chiefs. None of the years prior to 86 would have been as bad as this despite the Chiefs miserable performances because everyone expected it. The Chiefs even had a fun O to watch in the early 80s. Both teams were expected to go places and both teams ended up doing miserably. Never been worse in my mind.

Well, I must say that so far in my life, i've been spoiled with pretty decent Chiefs teams. Growing up in the 90's, I enjoyed a fantastic Chiefs defense, Marcus Allen, Joe Montana. It was a good time to be a kid and just getting into KC football.
But who knows, maybe in a season or two Gunther will have a defense up to his liking and we can return to the days when a Chiefs defense is feared not anticipated.
But my worry with that is we concentrate too much on defense. I don't want to end up like the Ravens and have all defense and no offense. Hopefully in the next few seasons we draft a good QB and WR. I'm most worried about those positions for the future.
