Ok T-Wolves fans, we now have a forum to discuss the run to the title by the Big Ticket, Spree, and Alien Boy (Cassell). They were able to keep their core together this offseason, most notable resigning Troy Hudson, one of their big outside threats. This should be a fun season...

You're right. Except for Duncan, the West is pretty thin in regards to big men. That will really play into Minnesota's hands. They have a nice rotation of serviceable big men.

With Vlade leaving Sacramento, our only major threats as far as big men appear to be Houston with Yao and Dallas with Dampier.

None of them are special but they all carry 6 fouls and are capable of blocking the driving lanes. What's going on with that big guy the T-wolves drafted out of U of Minnesota last year?

You mean Rickert? He's definitely not a center. He plays the 4 and perhaps the 3, and he's playing in the European league right now. He might earn himself playing time this year with a good training camp, but he's a project.

I knew he was a project but I wasn't sure about his size. I also couldn't remember his name. He played center is college, didn't he?

No. He played forward. I can't remember who they had at center, but I remember Rickert played forward, which I believe was the same position he played at Duluth where he went to High School.

Now he just has to work hard and not follow the same path as Joel Przybilla.
