What would your 2005 Line-up look like????
Mine...
C- Mauer
1b- Morneau
2b- Cuddyer
SS- Punto
3b- Koskie
LF - Kubel
CF - Hunter
RF - Ford
DH - Stewart
SP- Santana
SP- Radke
SP- Silva
SP- Mays
SP- Baker
CP- Nathan
Mays is in the rotation based on how much he makes, there is no-way in hell pohlad will eat that contract
1) stewart--dh/lf
2) kubel--lf/rf/dh
3) ford--rf/lf/dh
4) morneau--1b
5) hunter--cf
6) mauer--c
7) cuddyer--2b
8) guzman--ss
9) tiffee--3b
bench...
blanco--c
punto--utility
ojeda/rivas--utility...i'm guessing luis, simply because he's been here, but augie plays hard
restovich--of
offerman/some lefthanded bat with some experience--dh/ph
i wouldn't mind seeing koskie back, but i think tiffee is ready. the money saved from not signing koskie could help in resigning pitching. i also assume jason bartlett will see some time up with the big club at some point in the season. guzman hasn't been great this year, but not bad either. if he can hit .280 and play defense, he's deserving of another year.
1) santana--sp...*bling bling* and i hope he gets he family up here. it's terrible in their country when a player get a big contract in the majors and his family is immediately a target, like urbina's mom. sad situation there.
2) radke--sp ...i really hope we resign him to a two year deal
3) silva--sp
4) mays--sp
5) durbin/baker--sp...one should start, one in the pen...but with mays' previous health problems they may be 4 and 5 sometime during the season.
baker/durbin--long relief
balfour--long relief
romero--set up
rincon--set up
crain--set up
nathan--closin that shit out
i wouldn't mind seeing mulholland stay around...but i don't see room for him...another lefty to help romero would be nice tho.

Well...if I ran the franchise I would assume that means I could spend some money too.
So..
Koskie, Rivas, Lohse, LeCroy, and Mays are gone.
Jones would get traded for a good left handed reliever or 2-4th starter. Not sure exactly as it's hard to say who's on the market, but we just don't have the room for him in our OF next year. The bad part of this is that Jones is Hunter's best friend, I would honestly ask Torii how he felt about a trade, because there's no way I'm ever letting Hunter get out of Minnesota, he's too important in CF.
So...now that my rambline is done...let's just assume that Jones is still around since I don't know who I'd trade him for.
C - Mauer backed up by Blanco
1B - Morneau backed up by Tiffee
2B- Cuddyer backed up by Punto
SS - Guzman backed up by Bartlett
3B - Adrian Beltre (remember, I can spend money) backed up by Tiffee
LF - Stewart backed up by Kubel
CF - Hunter backed up by Ford
RF - Jones backed up by Kubel
DH - Ford backed up by Kubel
SP
1 - Santana
2 - Radke
3 - Smoltz (give him a chance to start again, I'm spending more money I know)
4 - Silva
5 - Durbin
RP - Rincon
RP - Romero
RP - Crain
RP - Balfour
RP - Fultz or Roa (someone to eat innings)
Cloer - Nathan
