What an entirely despicable series. Seattle beat us in every phase of all four games. It wasnt' wholly unexpected that the Angels pitching staff might suffer a setback; we'd been pitching too well for too long for it to continue. But for all starters to fall down at the same time, in the same series? Sufferin' succotash! The offesne didn't help a lot. A lot of chances to score were squandered, like Vlad having the bases loaded with two outs today, one AB after hitting one out. It's a damn good thng we had a big lead for padding. We'll have to regroup during the All Star break and come back fresh. Here's to the second half, and another Angels Division title.

Oakland is playing unbelievable ball right now. I'm glad the Orioles don't have to play them when they head west.

Hey, that's what I like: a response on the Angels board.
Oakland has been hot of late. If they can sustain it, they may be more of a threat than the Rangers.
As Far as the Orioles are concerned: it's a damn shame they had to fade already. It was great watching them in first over the Sox and the Yanks. I hope they turn it around and give those two a good run for it. COME ON SAMMY! DO SOMETHING! Is he jsut going to sit around and watch Rafael?

Sammy is the least patient hitter in baseball. I don't get him.

This last series was big, though. A real confidence boost. They could actually have a healthy team for the first time all season with Bedard coming back right after the break and Javy and Jason Grimsley returning soon after (hopefully).
