For Zac Day and AAA outfielder JJ Davis. The only holdup seems to be how much of the contract that the Rockies will pick up.

I don't know, from being down in VA it seems like the Nats have given up on Day as a starter. That would then mean that they would only have a problem in getting enough playing time for Church and Byrd since the OF would then be Gullien in RF, Wilson in CF, and Wilkerson in LF. Plus theres not much on the trade market.

Heres a nother link for the rumor, this time in the Washington Post.

Also, Day's numbers this year in the Big's are 1-2 with a 6.75 ERA. If the trade goes down t also means that if Johnson continues to have health problems like he has his whole career, Wilkie can play 1st and the platoon in left still is on. I'd do it if I were the Nats GM.

I havent seen any recent stats....but hasnt Church been tremendous for them? I know when they first called him up, he was awesome.

Is the K King even any good anymore w/that huge-ass salary? I dono if this is a good trade for the Nats.

Aside from being inconsistant, Day was also clashing with management if i'm not mistaken. The trade doesnt make that much sense to me though.
