That's pretty spot on. The only major changes I'd make are Seattle over St. Louis, and maybe Denver over Kansas City. I have nothing to justify that though, just a hunch.
NFC north
GB 11-5
Minn 10-6 (wild card)
Det 8-8
Chi 6-10
A lot of people seem to look past the fact that Green Bay only lost one game by 10 points, so they were in every game. I didn't see many offseason changes to be necessary, although McKenzie's situation certainly doesn't help.

Superbowl: GB 31 Indy 28, Favre and Manning combine for almost 800 passing yards, Favre takes the MVP (more wishful thinking... but you never know)

I think the NFC championship game will be Philly at GB where philly loses it fourth in a rown and then asks the city of Green Bay for amencse(sp) cause they know they will be killed if they return to philly. Green Bay then goes on to beat the Pats 33-30 in OT to win the SB. Brett then a week later after winning a SB and a 4th MVP and a SB MVP retires.

Found this and thought it funny. Luvda made some pretty good picks for the division...a few hiccups in the AFC, but not bad.

I have little argument. Although, he was correct in picking the Eagles to not win the SB.

Yes, but incorrect in both the location and result of the NFCC game. And this is all 3 months after the fact.
Therefore, I judge it to be a most inaccurate prediction.

I would make the same NFC North prediction this year.
I would make the same NFC North prediction this year.
I would too. At least at the top spot.
I can be bought after that.

I would make the same NFC North prediction this year.
I've got no arguments about division winners across the board. I'd flop a couple of 2's and 3's, but how much do those guys really matter in the long run?

The prediction was dead on.
The events just happened to turn out a bit differently is all.

I'm not totally convinced that this year will be a repeat of the NFC North division standings again. Unless GB really lucks out in the draft and signs a good Safety and a decent LB we may be a middle of the pack team. I think though with the upgrades we made this off-season to the coaching staff we will be better than mediocre. As I've said before the core players we have on the team I feel are great and can do good things I just don't know what might happen. Basically my point is that with the players we have let go and the coaches we have gained I don't see the situation as necessarily being a whole lot better. Defense still scares me at this point. I can't wait to see what happens in the draft.
Also with the off-seasons that Detroit and Minnesota have been having I see the division becoming A LOT tighter. We will definitely have to scrap for everything we get. They have been making what seem to be some very significat upgrades.
I won't even wager a guess at where I see everything ending up until I see some pre-season action from all the teams.

Next off-season they won't be able to bitch about how we had a soft schedule again.

Is this comment directed at 2003, 2004 or 2005 ?
Why wouldn't you "see" the situation not being a whole lot WORSE ?
Sure there are concerns. Go positive !!

you do realize Luvda made this post August 18 of 2004 in regards to the 2004 season, right? Not the season upcoming.

I disagree. A duck said the NFCN would be the same. I wouldn't consider a duck "people".

One fan said he would pick the same Division Champ, but would be open to selling off predictions below that.

My post was about 2005. I think we will be better, but I'm just thinking it's too early to take either a positive or negative direction on how I feel about the upcoming season. Until I see what direction we will take with the player personnel I don't see the off-season as being too much of a step forward.

Correct. I probably should have inserted some names like Wahle, Rivera, Bates, etc. However when this thread was resurected on March 18th of 2005 they were speaking of the fact that they thought the division would end up with the Pack winning it yet again.

In my opinion the Pack will win the Division again.

I don't disagree with you here. As much as the off-seasons the Vikes and Lions are having make me apprehensive, history has a tendency of repeating itself. In the past the Vikings have made it seem inevitable that an implosion is imminent. With the Lions they seem to have all the tools, but they can't seem to get them working in harmony and the injury bug tends to bite rather hard. So a prediction of a four-pete isn't off base at all.

No. I resurrected this thread on March 18 of 2005 and did it only to congratulate Luvda on his relatively accurate picks, not to say that I thought 2005 would be the same.

I, on the other, do think that the results will be the same.
For the NFC North, at least.
