Fri, 1 Jul 2005 06:30:17 -0700
The Tampa Tribune reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://www.kffl.com/team/35/nfl) are having physical issues with Raymond James Stadium. A chunk of rain soaked paneling has fallen off the upper deck of the stadium. As a result, the sports authority plans to consider spending as much as $600,000 to repair the damage, sports authority operations director Mickey Farrell said. The $600,000 would include $200,000 for scaffolding, he said. The repair work would include replacing all 30 such panels around the stadium before the team's Aug. 20 preseason home (http://69.42.87.218/cgi-bin/ezlclk.fcgi?id=9387) opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars (http://www.kffl.com/team/20/nfl). He expects the repair work to be done by Aug. 15. The sports authority will meet Friday, July 1, to decide how to proceed.
