Marlins in Anaheim

I can see this being a good series. The Marlins are a good team, but the Angels have been facing some of the better MLB teams of late: the White Sox, Red Sox, Atlanta, the Nats. And we've been doing alright. Out pitching has still been pretty good. But it will probably be Willis vs. Lackey. Sometimes Lackey will rise to the challenge. Washburn has been better than his W-L record indicates. And Paul Byrd will get to try his hand on Sunday. It's our offense that needs to wake up.

All three games were ugly, especially the Sunday game. Poor young Santana got hammered again. I'm not worried about him. Under the tutelage of Black and Scioscia, he'll develop into a winner. Figgins keeps making fundamental baserunning mistakes, and he's not the only one.
