I was an Angels fan back in the day.

The days of Lansford, Grich, Carew, Baylor, Downing, Ryan, etc...

I began following the Angels in Michigan as a 7th grader, about 1965, when california seemed like a distant, exotic locale. When I moved to southern cal in '76, the Angels were a natural for me. I've seen those guys you mention quite a number of times.
And now we're playing for the division title, just what we've been waiting for. No wild card baby, division champs!!!!!!!!

On a more personal note, my grandfather passed away a few months after the Angels won the world series. He was as diehard an Angel fan as you'll meet.
