FLUSHING, New York (Ticker) - The Los Angeles Angeles of Anaheim hope to have reigning American League MVP Vladimir Guerrero (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5737) back in the lineup Friday when they open a three-game series with the New York Mets (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=nym).
Guerrero is expected to be activated from the disabled list after an impressive batting practice session Wednesday. Guerrero was hitting .303 with seven homers and 24 RBI before he injured his left shoulder awkwardly sliding into the plate in a game against the Dodgers on May 20.
Anaheim was able to maintain its hold on first place in the American League West Division, going 10-8 without their superstar right fielder.

This is great news. With Vlad back, our offense will be much better then before.
