He's off to a very good start but I'm a little concerned that he can carry the load for the duration of a season for us. He's in great shape but he hasnt carried the ball more than 160 times in any of his previous seasons. If he can weather the storm he should put up outstanding numbers by the end of the year. For the record I was pissed when we signed him but man has he made me look foolish so far and Train looks like Leon Johnson out there dragging ass.

Straight.
The worst part is, because he's looked so good, if we had most of the guys healthy, we'd be in the thick of things this year.

Very true Mofo and you may not agree but with the bye coming up after Philly I think Quinn will do just fine for us. he may not win games for us but with our running attack we just need him to manage and not "lose" games for us. I may be hit with stones after saying this but we could be better in the short term with a QB (Quinn) who knows the system inside out versus Grossman learning on the fly. Plus the bright side of this is that Rex gets to mentally "master" the playbook and come back next year and play smarter football. GO BEARS!!!!!!!

That dude has been impressive ....
And you ARE sorta in the thick of things ....
but EVERYone IS shakin' heads over your injury issues ....
I, for one, think it would be awesome if the last reg season game MEANT something for both teams ....
But you guys do have a lot to overcome. Apparently the Packers do, too.....

CFF you never know how the season will go but your right it would be sweet to see a meaningful G.B/Bears matchup to close the season at Soldier Field. Our injuries arent helping us any but we should get some guys back in the next few weeks so hopefully we can get a few wins in the meantime.

RDG, I've been very depressed since rex went down, piling on top of all the other injuries. You know i've always been one of the more optimistic guys on the board, but it's hard to keep my head up, especially after last week. I do love your attitude about this whole thing. Keep it goin. Guys like me need it.

Mofo, Grossman is clearly more talented in terms of upside and intangibles etc than Quinn but Rex didnt have the playbook down yet (which is to be expected) but showed a firm grasp of it. Quinn hasnt been practicing with the #1 offense and i really believe he will operate it nicely by knowing the offense so well. I dont expect him to light it up against Philly but after the bye week he should do just fine.
i dumped on jones when they signed him. The only thing im not seeing from him is the "breakaway" speed. Don't get me wrong, if he keeps doin what he's doing, i'll be happier than a pig in you know what. Maybe im just upset that i have to move to detroit and listen to "the mooch show" and talk of joey ballgame for a couple years.

Much like last years last 3 games, I think we'll see flashes of the rest of the season this sunday. Even if he doesn't play well, we'll still have a fairly good grasp whether quinn can handle it or not.
