Is there anyway we can find out who posted the reputation things?? I'd like to know who my admirers are...:D



Seriously though, how would we know the person is getting dap from other posters or if he/she is just giving their own post good reps??

Click on "User CP". Right on that page you will see "Latest Reputation Received"

A green box means good rep, red means bad rep. Also, users cannot give themselves reputation. Try clicking on the reputation icon in your own post. It won't work.

It's one of two things, one of which I told you:

1] You can only give reputation to X users per day
2] You can't give reputation to a user twice in a row, you must give it to X users before that user can get reputation from you again.

It's not infaliable, but it's better than having people's reputations at 250,000,000 because a few want to bastardize the rep system.

IMO, I don't like the idea of knowing who gave you rep points (negative/positive). I think, if the person who gave you those points wants to be known, they can say so in the comments box. It takes the "mystery" out of how you got the points that you have. I think, just by giving the thread and post the reputation points was earned should be enough to narrow it down.

Basically, I think it may make people change their posting style to cater to a particular forum member because they've given you reputation points on X posts you've made.

Anyway, I enjoy the mystery aspect of the reputation points system.

Also, if you constantly give negative rep points to someone and they know about it, they mods/admins could have a messy situation to clean up if someone is truly stuck on the rep system.
