Holy toledo! What on earth could guillen have done to get suspended right in the middle of a pennant race? Scioscia doesn't strike me as being the particularly sensitive type. What gives?

I also wonder what will happen if the Angels beat out the A's for the West. This guy was one of the best hitters and a pretty good defensive outfielder also.

He must have done something pretty serious because this is definately a statement by the Angels.

apparently guillen went off on scoscia for pulling him in favor of a pinch runner. quite a statement being only two (now just one) game/s out of the playoffs. kinda screws my last push in the fantasy league too, damn you guillen.




Anaheim said he was being suspended without pay and the suspension would continue into the postseason if the Angels qualify for the playoffs.

"He was obviously not happy with the decision," Anaheim general manager Bill Stoneman said. "Unfortunately, this was not the first time something has cropped up with Jose."

Guillen was hit by a pitch to start the eighth inning of Anaheim's 5-3 victory against Oakland on Saturday. Manager Mike Scioscia sent Alfredo Amezaga in to pinch run.

Guillen walked off the field as the A's changed pitchers, tossed his helmet toward the side of the dugout Scioscia was standing in and walked to the opposite side of the dugout before entering. He slammed his glove against the wall.

hey i'm only 21, and she fuels my thoughts. :) on the cover of maxim this month, i'm damn glad i subscirbed a few months ago. very nice. i heard it's also her 20th birthday today. happy birthday avril!!! unfortunately, i don't think she'll be wishing for me when she blows out her candles...damn it anyway...
