Something new for Chiefs fans to get excited about, Defense.....After years of terrible play by terrible players the Chiefs add some new blood on Defense. What the Chiefs have to look forward to after the draft for the upcoming season.
OLB Derrick Johnson was picked with the 15th overall pick. He slipped down the draft board and the Chiefs couldnt pass him up. It was rumored that the Chiefs were shopping he 15th pick for anyone who wanted to pick up DJ but i am happy they finally grabbed him up. The Chiefs have an almost completely new defense. I for one am excited for the upcoming season, and for Chiefs football. I think the Chiefs did almost everything right, and the additions of Bell, Knight, Surtain, Johnson, and Hall will bring this defense where it needs to be. A couple more players could take this defense into the top 5, and that would be something special. I for one cant want to watch Surtain bump WR's and grab a pick, Bell roaming the middle of the field and bursting through the middle to sack the quaterback, Knight making plays on the ball and punishing WR's coming over the middle, and Johnson punching the football out of everyones hands. A toast to the 2005 Chiefs and i hope they keep up the good work.
