I wonder if our D was a little tuckered out.
I guess this is what happens when the O goes 3 & out on every possession.

Time of Possesion is another excuse for the performance of the defense. When you are out there 11 minutes thats close to a whole quarter more that Seattle was on O.

True. I agree. The D didn't play very well. Though, given the offenses ineptitude, the fact that they only gave up 21 points isn't too bad. Our starting D did worse vs their starting O than our Backup D did vs their backup O. I think fatigue caught up with them after a while and they couldn't hang.

Only 21 points, thats what I was saying on another message board. Cutbacks and giving away the sidelines is what made them look bad, but they kept them out of the endzone and redzone. Seattle looked really well coached for the first game of preseason, they were up to the line and snapping before the defense was set.
The battle of field position was clearly in Seattle's favor too. 3 and out, then a 35 yard punt. Avg starting position was pathetic, in fact i will look it up.

I was very impressed with some of the backup defenders. If Lee, Jouse (I think that's how you spell it), Horton, and others can play like they did, they'll go a long ways towards providing some much needed defensive depth.
