The Chicago Tribune's Mark Gonzales reports Chicago White Sox (http://www.kffl.com/team/47/mlb) SP Brandon McCarthy (http://www.kffl.com/player/11002/mlb) pitched seven innings of two-hit ball while striking out 10 and walking one against Columbus in his first start Saturday, April 9 for Triple-A Charlotte. "It doesn't surprise me at all the way this kid throws the ball," MAN Ozzie Guillen (http://www.kffl.com/player/8865/mlb) said. "He showed me he's ready to pitch at this level. He can pitch for us right now. I think we have everything set. But if something happens, he'll be here."
