From what I see, we'll either be playing the BoSox or the Yankees in the first round of the playoffs. If I remember right, we'd play the Yankees on the road, but if we played the BoSox, it would be at home.

Knowing this, which team would you rather meet up with in the first round?

BoSox, hands down. We've already shown that we can beat them at home, so I'm all for Boston.

Really...id rather face the Sox...it used to be the Yankees...but with boston's bullpen, i think if we can just get the starters out by the 7th inning, we can win games....

to me it doesn't matter; i'm not hoping for an alds championship, but rather a world series championship. gotta beat em all at some time so bring em on.

As an outsider looking in I'd just as soon you eliminate the Yankees in the 1st round.

I'm with Ryr, it would allow my Braves to not face them ;)

I'm hoping for the Yankees in round 1, but the way the AL West is shaping up (even though the Twins haven't been winning much lately) I see us with a better record then the top team out there. That means we'll be facing the BoSox.

Whoever we play, I'm really hoping that the A's (or Angels or Rangers) wins their ALDS because the A's would be an easier road to the World Series.

Everyone should be hoping for anyone but the Evil Empire. I'm partial to the A's just because they're my favorite AL team.

This may be old news, I don't get to watch the Twins much here in Central Iowa. Did anyone else watch the Redsox vs Yankees game this weekend where they said Johnny Damon can't play in the Metrodome because of lingering effects from his concussion last season. Something about being colorblind. This would keep one of their bats out of the lineup, wouldn't it?

The sox starters have nothing after schilling and pedro, and pedro hasnt been too impressive lately. and the yankee starters, like brown and vazquez, have been pretty terrible recently with the exception of el duque. But boston's bullpen is much weaker and we'd be at home against the sox. And since both have very potent offenses, i'm gonna have to say i'd rather play the sox

So THATS why Damon didn't play in the Twins-BoSox series...interesting
