I guess it will also be the Olympic stadium, if NYC wins the bid (for 2012, I think)

It is supposed to put them over the top for getting the Olympics

for a billion dollar stadium that stadium better be expected to be used for at least 50 years to get its money out of it.

I heard that Paris is still the favorite to win. I hope not, the Olympics in NYC would be great. I'm surprised that they haven't been there yet.

It would be the public urination capital of the World.

New York blows.

i had a great experience with NYC people. i was there during the blackout back in august of 2003, obviously everyone was thinking terrorist attack. The entire city went into a frenzy, but every new yorker we encountered was helpful and friendly. They gave us directions, told us to stay calm, and were genuinely great people. I think theyre misunderstood most of the time

The Simpsons agree with me.

NYC sucks.

That said, I don't want the Olympics lost to the fucking French.

I've been there like 5 times and I've never had a problem with any of the people. They were all friendly and they didn't look down at you because you were a tourist. I've never really had a bad experience in the city.

That was a funny episode. I don't think they are allowed to show it on reruns though cuz of the Trade Center.

Paris will get it cause they have not held an olypmics in decades. The USA held the winter ones and summer ones in the last 10 years. I cant see the USA getting the summer olympics twice in less then 20 years. Not with all the new cities that are now bidding on them to get them.

Paris supposedly has a better infrastructure for the Olympics too. I think that they look at location not just country though. So since the Olympics were just in Athens a few years ago, New York still has a shot.
