i am very happy that i took the time to watch this. he was very impressive going deep. he seems to have a good understanding of what to do when the ball is in the air. however, during this 6 minute long video he ran only 3 routes over the middle, and i did not see one deep post route. there were planty of deep routes. there were plenty of bubble screens. no posts.
nfl comparason: todd pinkston.

nfl comparason: todd pinkston.Deep Posts arent even in the Gamecocks playbook and ill swear by that. In my 3 years as a student there I never once saw ANY Gamecock wr run a deep post. Skip Holtz doesnt even know what the route looks like. Its called playing in a terribly conservative run oriented offense with shitty qbs. True story.

Also as far as the over the middle routes; they didnt trust Dondrell Pinkins to make any throw like that because his accuracy was awful at best.
NFL Comparison: Hines Ward...with gamebreaking speed.

i'll believe it when i see it. if he hasn't run any routes over the middle, how can he be compared to a player of the quality of hines. even if it was holtz' fault for being a consevative coach, or it was the QB's fault for having a shit arm, the guy still hasn't proven that he can go over the middle. until and unless he proves that he can catch the ball over the middle and take a hit, i don't want him anywhere near the eagles roster. the steelers on the other hand could use a deep threat with potential. if he winds up there, his career might turn out fine. but, the eagles already have pinkston, they don't need a replica.
