I've gotta say pg with Hunter and Jenkins. Health and lack of NBA experience give me the willies.

pg/Huner/jenkins
sg/ Delfino/ham
sf/Dupree/Delfino/ham
pf/McD/COleman/Darko
C/McD/Campbell?Darko/McSuck

Man I'd love to make a move for a top notch backup guard. Having a guy like Barry is gonna be such an advatage for SA at times. Lb loves having a combo type guy to rotate in, mabye moving Billups over to the 2 at rare times. Doesn't need to be a scorer, just someone who can share the ball and play tough D.

Suggestion on a cat we can get???

IMO?? our weakest bench spots, before the season starts, are the unproven/unknown guys... Jenkins, Dupree, and Delfino.

I do have high hopes for Delfino, though... especially with what's been said about him and the fact that Joe D is so high on him.

The thing that scares me about Delfino is his lack of playing time in the Olympics. Why if this guy is so "good", as Joe D puts it, would he not play more.

Here is a guy Lucious Harris. Did you guys see that the Nets released him. He would be a great guard to have, plus he plays defense.

The reason Delfino didn't see the floor is the same reason LeBron couldn't play for the US. He was younger than any other player on his team by 5 years (23 vs. 28 for Ginoboli). He was there more for the experience than his abilities. I'll tell ya what though, if Argentena thinks he's the best young player they have, I want him on the pistson cause it was obvious those guys understand how to "play the right way".

Harris is looking for more than the VM, which is all we have to offer. I do like the cat, but there isn't any way to get him on the team and if we do pick him up it gives LB a reason not to play Carlos, which I'd sooner see. I imagine Dupree (who has proven he can play ball) can defend the 2 and 3, so if all goes wrong we'll see him and Ham running around out there.

Very good point about Delfino.

The roster in general:

Starters:
C- Big Ben
PF - Sheed
SF - Tay
SG - Rip
PG - Chauncy

Bench:
McDyess
Darko
Delfinio
Hunter
Coleman
Campbell

That leaves one spot for either Ham, Dupree, or Jenkins

I see what you are saying about Harris. I am just nervous. Right now you would have Hunter backing up Rip and Chauncy and maybe Delfinio. I would like to get another combo guard. Maybe trade Campbell for a combo guard someone like Harris.

Point guard is our weakest spot. I like Hunter but he's getting kinda old and he's had some injury history. There is no way he'll play more then 70 games and that is probably being generous. But I expect Joe will pickup another around the trade deadline and I"m not really not concerned about it.

The problem with Harris is we couldn't pick him up even if he was willing to accept the VM. We already have fifteen guarenteed contracts, thats why Paulding signed with that Isreali team.
