Tue, 22 Mar 2005 18:29:52 -0800
Updating ongoing reports, according to NewYorkJets.com, NFL owners, who are currently holding their annual meetings in Maui, are prepared to vote on awarding the 2010 Super Bowl to New York. The bid would require that the game is played in an indoor stadium and is contingent on the New York Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) gaining approval to build the New York Sports and Convention Center on Manhattan's West Side. Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, along with several team owners, supports staging a Super Bowl in New York and the NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl)'s Super Bowl committee has unanimously agreed. The Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) are scheduled to make a presentation to all 32 team owners Wednesday, March 23, in an effort to obtain conditional approval for the 2010 Super Bowl.
