And you got guys like sully who add so much to site, and provide much better service and help then the old E*PN boards. For me guys like Sully and Thomeismyhomie add so much. Plus, I'm here, that's a bonus.

Sadly, i'm going to be honest with you. The sox board is not what it could be. However, there are a number of sox fans, but most hang out on the bear board. I'm sure when the season really starts up, a lot more of us will frequent this board.


I tell you what though, there are a number of sox fans who would definitely go in here more if there were one or two good hardcore sox posters. And will probably frequent this place during the season more either way.

I would rate the boards pretty high. I don't want to give a number, but Mozilla Firefox:Internet Explorer as Sports-Boards:ESPN Boards. It's definitely better than other sports forums I've seen.

On a side note, with as many Bears fans as there are, I would think the Cubs and White Sox boards would be a lot busier.

i appreciate the input mofo. it DOES seem quiet compared to a few others. at least i haven't seen any idiots yet and that's a plus. :)

Id, I really hope you stick around here and get this sox board going, I really do, because I know a lot of guys would like it. Like I said, there are a lot of sox fans that hang out on the bear board, me included. But I'm assuming when the season starts this will pick up, plus if you can pick up some hardcore sox posters (rdivaldi again comes to mind) we could make it an active board. I don't know if you remember me in this name, but I used to be golddome22 on the sox board probably 4-5 years ago.

I think these boards are much better than ESPN or WSI. The mods do a good job of dealing with trolls so the boards are cluttered with their crap. The only problem is this board is pretty quiet. If we could get more Sox posters here then this would be my top choice hands down.

oh yeah the name rings a bell.
i do like the bears but i'm really more like a fairweather fan there. same way with the bulls, nothing like the way i feel about the sox.

as for the site ... we'll just see where it takes us.
espn drives me up a tree partly because of the trolls and partly because espn doesn't seem to know how to make the thing work right. it's 'improvements' have steadily made it worse and worse. i like the flexability i see here so far with the site functions.

just how stringent are the mods here? how do you know when you've stepped over the line if you get into a good argument? i should probably read the faq huh? :) haven't even looked for it yet. are you pretty free to express your opinions ( i mean without personal insults and such) and get a little salty or is that frowned upon? i just want to get a lay of the land.

as for quiet .... i don't really mind that. one thing i didn't like about wsi was talking just for talking's sake. 95% bs and 5% good conversation.

anyway, i'm looking forward to a great season and a great post season.

Check out the TOS link on the bottom of the page. That pretty much explains everything. The mods, SM's, and admins stick do our best to stick to the letter of the TOS.

Pretty much if a guy goes to another board and starts talking about how much that team sucks, he will get warned, banned.

No personal attacks. Heated debates are fine, but name-calling/personal insults are not.

You'll fit right in. Again, bring some good sox fans over (Rdivaldi, etc.) and a lot of guys from the bear board are sox fans, we'll get this thing goin. Especially once the season starts.
