I think you brought up a valid point, though.

Some of these contests were decided by people who are not even remotely close to Phillies fans -- people who don't even associate with 10% of the Phillies fans on this board, yet they were voting for (or against) people based on their experience with them off the Phillies board. Now, I don't really think that's terrible, but I would prefer that Phillies fans decide the outcome, since we know the Phillies posters the best.

What if we let Canadians or the French or something vote for U.S. President and Congress? I don't think many people would go along with that.

Anyway, the contest was supposed to be fun (it's obviously not as serious as a political election) and I think it's been pretty entertaining. I'm sure all of us got some votes for people that aren't Phillies fans, so I don't know how much of a point it is, but it's something to think about.

I really don't care. I'm bored and thought I would throw my opinion in here. I don't think anyone should get too upset over the results of this contest, though. It doesn't really mean anything and was supposed to pass the time before the season starts.
